John Clifford

John Clifford – Tutor

John is a Consultant in Higher Education Policy, a former Associate Dean at Royal Docks School of Business and Law, Dean of Kaplan Law and Business School and Director of the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP. He is on the governing body of a leading London school, and was also a Principal A-Level examiner. He holds a number of Masters Degrees in: Medical Law, Public Law and Legal Research, and Criminology.  He has Undergraduate degrees in Politics and History and a postgraduate qualification in Law.  He has taught Constitutional and Administrative Law, Jurisprudence, Criminal Law and Tort law for many years as a University Lecturer.   He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).

Mercilla Choudhury – Tutor

Admitted as a solicitor in 2007, Mercilla has practiced in the private and public sectors, advising on litigation, commercial property, competition, compliance and regulatory matters. Her experience spans the Government Legal Department, Arts Council England, Heritage Lottery Fund, General Medical Council, The Law Society and the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman. Mercilla is currently practising Subsidy Law at The National Lottery Community Fund. She has a degree in History from University College London and postgraduate qualifications in Law. Maintaining an interest in academia throughout her practicing career, she has taught Law as a University Lecturer at undergraduate and postgraduate level for many years. Mercilla has lectured at BPP, Pearson College London and the University of Westminster. She has taught Contract Law, Land Law, Advocacy & Negotiation, Criminal Justice, Employment Law, EU Law, Property Law & Practice and Business Law & Practice.

Paul Evans – Educational Consultant

Head of Law, Accountancy, Hospitality, Tourism and Events and Anglia Ruskin University London, and now resposible for Employability at the London centres. Prior to this an academic career that includes Programme Director and Dean at BPP University.

Susanne Tayfoor

Susanne Tayfoor – Educational Consultant

Susanne is a trained barrister who has trained lawyers and taught and examined Oxbridge graduates. As a University Principal Law Lecturer she designed and taught a number of undergraduate online Law modules, which focused on developing employability skills. She co-authored a series of Contract and Tort Law Casebooks, as well as writing Common Mistakes in English by Cambridge University Press. She has a Masters in Law from King’s College, London University, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Evening (18:00) and Saturday (11:00) ‘live’ online study workshops. Each workshop, run by experts in that area of law, normally lasts 1.5 hour online on ‘Zoom’ platform and will include the various areas of SQE1 study and substantive law – these are held every week from September 2021. If you prefer to study these workshops on an individual basis (e.g. you just want advice on SQE MCQ’s and, perhaps, practical areas of Tort Law)  they will cost just £30 (£25 +vat) each – and paid for as taken. For those that would prefer more personalised tuition – we offer our GOLD study package that includes a personal tutor.
